Host country Brunei is grouped together with Cambodia, Timor Leste, Vietnam and Malaysia in Group B.
“We only had about a month to practice and we're going up against teams who have been together for two years or so, it’s kinda tough,” said midfielder Marvin Angeles on the Philippine Azkals’ official website.
The U-21 team trained under their new coach, Serbian Zoran Dordevic, who arrived in the country a month ago.
Making up the team are:
Christopher Camcam

This year’s HBT is allowing players over 21 year old to join the tournament, prompting the coaching staff to include Nestorio Margarse Jr., Jerry Barbaso, Ruben Doctora Jr. and Aaron Altich to the roster.
