ANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Azkals are hanging up their cleats for a while as they go on a much needed rest and recreation at the Misibis Bay luxury island resort in Cagraray Island, Bacacay, Albay this week.
The Azkals picked Misibis Bay since it has world-class water sports facilities.
The Azkals and members of coaching staff who are joining the trip are Anton del Rosari, Nate Burkey, Roel Gener, Jason Sabio, Richard Pacana, Patrick Ace Bright, Paolo Pascual, Misagh Bahadoran, Josef Malinay, Ricardo Becite, and Yannick Tuason.
The three-day Albay trip will be documented by the “Sports Unlimited” team of Marc Nelson, Dianne Castillejo and Matthew Garcia. The resort is owned by Zaldy Co.
The Azkals are scheduled to visit the Cagsawa Ruins and try the Lignon Hills (zip Line) upon their arrival today (Monday). They will have a little fun at Go Kart complex before checking in at Misibis Bay. On their second day, the Azkals are scheduled to tour the resort on an all-terrain vehicle before going to through a series of challenging games such as the ropes course, zip line and paint ball.
After lunch, the Azkals will indulge in Misibis Bay’s water sports facilities such as kayaking, windsurfing, jetski, hobie cat, wakeboarding, and knee boarding and a round of beach games. The Azkals are expected to cap their night with a massage by the shore at sunset. The Azkals will leave for Manila on Wednesday.
