RIZAL Football Association (RIFA) remains undefeated as it continues its winning streak in the ongoing 1st Gov. Alfredo G. Marañon Jr. U-14 Girls National Football Selections Tournament 2011 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
Following an opening victory against San Carlos Football Club on Monday, RIFA blanked host-Negros 1st squad, 2-0 on Wednesday and Davao Football Association (FA) also with a 2-0 output on Tuesday, to post a clean 3-0 win-loss card in the 14-U girls division.
In the match against the host-team, RIFA’s Maria Pamela Diaz started the Manila-based squad’s offense by scoring a goal in the early 26th minute of the game. Diaz’s goal was the lone goal recorded at the end of the first half after Negros 1st team imposed tight defense, denying Manilans goal tries.
In the second period, RIFA continue to control the game’s tempo as they able to break the Negrense’s defense scoring another goal in the 42nd minute from Michaela Celine Adriano. Adriano’s goal was eventually final score of the match as it ended 2-0.
Meanwhile, in the clash against Davao FA, Adriano made RIFA’s first goal in the 38th minute and followed by Ma. Beatrice Isobel’s goal in the closing 42nd minute of the first half.
Adriano and Isobel’s goals sealed their match against Davao, 2-0.
On the other hand, before Negros 1st team bowed to RIFA in the 14-U girls’ division, the host-squad outscored San Carlos FC, 3-1.
