  1. Why no Amin Nazari? Finnish season is over. Same goes with Minegishi.

  2. Nazari just arrived. There are several players not listed above who are in camp, including Tanton and Nazari.

  3. You will wonder how they select players, others sure they deserve the call up, but some? I mean you have Bahadoran over Melliza?

    1. Wrong player to compare. Sure Bahadoran hasn't played any competitive football since May but at least he offers something that others don't like pace and a bit of trickery with the odd chance of scoring.

Melliza is 26 and has never been called up! You gotta wonder why... just not good enough despite scoring his fair share domestically.

If anything Melliza should at least be part of the camp ahead of Gayoso, not Bahadoran! Gayoso is another overrated player who doesn't even have any senior club football experience to speak of.

    2. I'm not sure about pace, he's old and watching his game wala na ang pace niya, masyado din nawawala ang bola sa kanya, kung pace at dribbling lang hanap mo why not pika? and agree on gayoso, kung gusto nila magpasok ng batang player sana yung tacardon na lang nilagay nila. mas magaling yung batang yun

    3. Ya definitely would still have Minegishi but he's not a striker. Bahadoran can play out wide or up front. I'd also still take Bahadoran right now than an unproven (at least internationally) Melliza.

Tacardon? lol! He's showing some promise but just like Gayoso isn't anywhere near ready for the senior national team! Your overrating him!

      Delete
    4. not overrating him, what i'm saying is KUNG maglalagay lang din naman sila ng young player, edi sana yung batang may mas potential and comparing tacardon at gayoso, mas may potential ang UP player. ikaw na din naman nagsabi 'He's showing some promise'.

      Delete
    5. "Showing some promise" doesn't equate to wanting, let alone needing him to be part of the senior national team training camp! Bottom line is, Gayoso and Tacardon, along with every other college player for that matter, isn't anywhere near ready to be part of the senior national team.

Gayoso in particular is being overrated by many and that has a lot to do with the fact he's related to Ed Ocampo. Sad state of affairs lol!

  4. Tacardon & Gayoso? Guys what are you talking about.. This is not under-23 man, be for real man... The reason why Jarvey is included is just pick up some garbage and maybe be a super-sub, he's our best local prospect and PFF hopes that he'll have a breakout game, maybe score one in 20min... But don't dream to much bro. Even at there age category AFF under 23 or U-19 these guys are having a hard time againts the ASEAN youth stars likes of Chaowat Veerachat, Jakkit Wachpirom, Sasalak Haiprakhon, Worachit Kanitsribampen, Sansern Limwattana, Egy Maulana Vikri, Febri Hariyadi, Evan Dimas, Gian Zola Nugrana, Terens Owang Puhiri, Saddil Ramdani, Nguyễn Công Phượng, Nguyễn Quang Hải, Nguyễn Van Toan, Lương Xuân Trường, Duy Manh Do, Van Thanh Vu, Irfan Fandi, Aung Thu, Chan Vathanaka etc... We had our best youth available, UAAP and NCAA stars Jarvey, Ian Clarino, JB Borlongan, King Miyagi, Christian Lapas, Ace Villanueva, Dylan de Bruycker, Dimitri Limbo, but they are all outclass... The situation of our youth program reminds of me of the dark old days, where there is no band-aid solution... And that our team nobody cares.. Yes it was All-Filipino, mostly from Iloilo and Bacolod who are playing at club level the Armed Forces Clubs(the Big 3), and we usually lost big and nobody knows... The band-aid solution is what is missing at our youth level, you know why? Because we have no choice.. The other ASEAN nations are producing future stars, and what do we have Tacardon & Gayoso?

  5. Im not discouraging you guys in hoping that a true football star would come out locally, but its just that the past two, three generations didnt live up with the expectations... Three years ago i too had high hopes about our future also, our U-23 team had Mark Hartmann, Amani Aguinaldo, goalkeeper Patrick Deyto, Paolo Bugas, Fitch Arboleda, Jinggoy Valmayor, our future stars & we have Scottish coach Brian Reid, it was a promising class.. But after we win nothing & lossing big, i start looking abroad, thinking about getting some help from our fil-foreign U-21, U-23 prospects from abroad. The situation that we have in our coutry where there are few kids playing football, few coaches, few programs and few watching the game itselt. Our only hope in our youth program, is a band-aid solution, like in our seniors team, recruit fil-foreign booters.. Still its not being done in a large scale, and thats why the bleeding continues... I know that we are not financially capable right now, & i also realize that recruiting a youthful Alaba, Areola, Jonathan de Guzman, Holtmann, Nyholm is not the easy part.. Those guys they usually priorities playing in there big footballing countries... The Younghusbands who a decade ago, give up there English Premier League dreams for a country like ours. They don't come by that often. Usually our high level prospects, they come here at there mid-20s when they got nowhere else to go. Thats the only time these guys start looking elsewhere like there mother country. But if they succeed in Europe, they usually dont choose to be Under-dogs... What is needed to be done here is to get more kids play football and produce more college stars and mix them up with some elite fil-foreign footballers like the John-Patrick Strauss, Raphael Obermair, Tabinas, Pintus, Baumann, Champness, Kekkonen, Kristófer Reyes, Schwarzer, Kevin Mendoza, Oliver Bias, Niko de Vera, Dennis Chung, Hagi Gligor, Mkie Ott, Masuyama, Kwawukumey, Harry Foll, Aidan Daniels along with some other names that are flying around the Azkals radar...

    1. If you want to help our country to become powerhouse in South east asia and produce players to play in oversease instead of importing so many foreign born is to cultivate and nurture the Youth National teams. Let them have a camp in Europe or in Asia 3 times a year so they can be at par with our neighbors. We Filipinos have pace and technical know how its just that we lack international exposures during our youth and it really matters when you grow up and play international tournaments. Experience is the best teacher. Investment wise as you can manage our homegrowns as potential targets for big clubs in Asia and maybe in Europe or America. The moral of our youth today are so low due to many Foreign born players in the National teams. They have no more ambition to become a national player because it shows that homegrowns is only second choice for the Azkals management. And it's a pity to see our country snubbing the youth of theis chances and their full potential because of mismanagement in the Philippine Football.

    2. "Let them have a camp in Europe or in Asia 3 times a year"

Are you gonna pay for that?! lol! Financially not viable! Even then, 3 times a year isn't gonna do much. They need to train and play on a regular basis.

"Filipinos have pace and technical know how its just that we lack international exposure"

Filipino players aren't any faster than our neighbors. In fact in most cases, they're slow. More importantly they are NOT technically proficient. If they were, you can bet your ass that our youth teams would be doing better internationally.

"The moral of our youth today are so low due to many Foreign born players in the National teams."

How do you know this as a fact? It's only the senior national team that's filled with non homegrown players. In fact, the homegrown players aren't even good enough for their own level so how can you say their moral is low due to whichever players you're talking about.

They homegrown players need to see them as a challenge! A challenge for themselves for self betterment.

You're just using the non homegrown players as scapegoat to say that the youth is supposedly being snubbed for the national teams! It's ridiculous to put it politely!

    3. We should all accept that the Philippine MNT (with Dan Palami) is "all in" relative to ex-pats players. Grassroots player development is an after thought. They are depended on this stats to continue the supply of players for the future, which have dramatically increased for 2018:

"Population. In 2013, the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) estimated that approximately 10.2 million people of Filipino descent lived or worked abroad. This number constitutes about 11 percent of the total population of the Philippines. It is one of the largest diaspora populations, spanning over 100 countries." Overseas Filipinos - Wikipedia

And more than 65% of which were Filipinas, who normally attracts those foreign dudes. So given the number, the probability of a young Filipino engaged in soccer is very high. This is supported by the presence of Alphonse Areola, Neil Etheridge, David Alaba and 90% of the Azkal's roster.

    4. Our youth team where send to Japan last year, & yes they get routed by college teams in Susono... Then at the same month in July, 2017 they go to Cambodia for the AFC U-23 and they take a beating again, routed by Japan 0-8... Then by August they fly to Malaysia for the SEA Games in which they produce two victories(to Cambodia & Timor-Leste), but get beatin up by Thailand, Vietnam & Indonesia... And by december, some of the youth players get a full international call-up during the CTFA International Tournament in Taiwan, but the result again was embarrassing. The lowest point of the Azkals era since the "Miracle in Hanoi". Recently they where given another chance in Bangladesh, so i don't understand what you are saying, lack of international exposure? The PFF have cultivate and nurtured our youth, as that is there mandate. They just can't find anyone yet, who has the quality and high level of play that is at the same level with our ASEAN neighbors. Besides yeah we have Jarvey, King Miyagi, JB Borlongan, Ian Clarino, Tacardon, Casambre, Christian Lapas, Paolo Bugas, Amita, Ace, Giganto, Felongco, Gadia, Salenga, Ukoza, Ariola, Belgira, O'Donnell, Aristorenas, Jarvis and thats it. What can we do if there not good enough??? Our youth are never neglected snub or not given a chance, its just there quality that is nowhere near of the likes of Manny Ott, Etheridge, Phil, Daisuke, Ramsay, Schrocky, Patino, Ingeso etc. Now you already have the likes of Dimitri Limbo, Mark Winhoffer, Chema Uzoka and Kenshiro trying there luck abroad. We don't know if they will became the next Daisuke Sato, but certainly right now there not those potential targets of big clubs in Asia, Europe or America.. We dont have that kind of player yet that is locally produce and get a big transfer pay, but best of luck for them out there... Quality, technical ability and high level of play is important in this sport, those three even surpasses skill and talent. If our youth wants to develop those, you have AFC U-23, the SEA Games and maybe build a team for the Olympic Qualifiers and the Asiad that is the "Proving ground" for our. If they impress us, then not only the PFF will notice that, maybe Asian clubs or UEFA clubs etc.

    5. Listen Anonymous7 November 2018 at 12:29, were talking about our youth program here and why it isn't working.. The issue fil-foreign recruits is a different subject. But to answer you, its just a temporary solution to our youth problem... It makes us competitive at world stage and not the other way around. Since the program was in place, it takes us from the abyss, rank 95 to 111 in the world... And its not bad actually, because being half filipino is still filipino... You have Alaba in Austria and he dont have a single drop of Austrian blood but its common in the Football world, Areola a full blooded pinoy for France, the de Guzman's, Julian for Canada, Jonathan for Holland... And the list goes on for those with similar issue, you have Mini-United nations France, England, Germany, Belgium at the top of World Football with only a few pure French or Germany or Belgian on there MNT, its common and its there advantage also being an "Immigrant Nation". In ASEAN you have the likes of Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia naturalizing foreign players to address there problems, there needs... We our only advantage is our filipino immigrants, and why not take that advantage like the others do..

Grassroots player development is an after thought by the PFF and Palami? In PFF's budget report, we've read that for 2018 they approved a budget of P167 mil.(around $3.3 mil.), & that the bulk of the expenses will cover grassroots and youth development programs, P58 mil. for the Azkals campaign, P15 mil. for the Malditas, for there AFC Women’s Asian Cup campaign, and a large some for projects in Carmona, Cavite, for improvements of the PFF National Training Center, the Programs to be implemented(PFL, PFFWL,YFL) and so on. They will get around P80 mil. from FIFA, & so they say they need to raise more funds from other sources, & maybe get more sponsorships to reach that target... Also important is the 6mn contract of coach Sven which is undisclosed, so who knows how big it is... Going back to our grassroots and youth development programs, the PFF has partnerships & assistance with companies like Manila Jockey Club, Coca-Cola, Globe tel., Alaska, because the PFF says Football training camps in the Philippines for the youth are very costly just in order for the youth to participate. And you always have Basketball as the BIG stumbling block of getting the youths interest to football. You got Iloilo FA, NOFA, NOSIRFA, the former Cebu FA(CVRFA), Davao RFA, Cagayan de Oro, Bukidnon, etc. doing there share of grassroots and youth development, implementing PFF's programs in the Regional youth level and the NCRFA has everything with its WFL Youth League. All the best Youth programs in the country are participating in these WFL, Kaya Elite, Ceres, Global, Stallion etc., RIFA, Team Socceroo, Loyola, Nomads, GAU etc.. But the sad reality about NCRFA, is the fact that they are located at the epicenter of Pinoy Hoopla, Metro Manila and Luzon in general. That explains why Philippine Footballs best product always comes from the south.. The problem is not the fil-foreign footballers, they are part of the solution. Its the quality of our homegrown players, and we can't sacrifice quality over race(pure race)?

  6. Anonymous7 November 2018 at 10:58- you are a racist!!! you are putting us Filipinos way too down. You are a good commentator but you lack an insight. What kind of Nationality are you that you really think we are so slow?? That's why we need camps outside our country to have exposures and to level up our game. If we really are slow then why Dmitri Limbo born 1998 is playing a forward in UK? That boy is 100% homegrown , trained and born here in the Philippines. Tacardon also a prospect of an agent in Indonesia club and now asking for his time in the summer so he can train there. The original Little Azkals of 2010 who trained in Italy for 21 days defeated some teams there and draw some and In fact, an Italian former World Cup Champion watched their games and appreciated their effort against Regina Calcio one of Serie A's prominent clubs. So, how can you say we Filipinos lack the pace and technical abilities? It just shows you don't know anything about Filipino footbsll. Study more dude before you put us down.

    1. First of all, clearly you don't know the meaning of racist since you're not using it properly! Just shows how stupid you are!

"What kind of Nationality are you"

      A Filipino... you fucktard!

"really think we are so slow?? That's why we need camps outside our country to have exposures and to level up our game."

Yes. Filipino footballers or at least homegrown ones aren't as athletic as you make them out to be! It's why all our youth teams get slaughtered internationally at leaset 90% of the time!
It's funny that you question my comment about the players being poor athletes but then go on to say that camps are needed to up their game! That in itself is an admission that you agree with me! They need these supposed Euro camps to be better athletes! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

"If we really are slow then why Dmitri Limbo born 1998 is playing a forward in UK?"

More stupidity! He's just one example and he was only playing for fucking Chester!! He isn't anything out of the ordinary! Also shows that you're lagging behind because Limbo hasn't been with Chester for almost two years!!! He's been back in the Philippines and is with Kaya's second team!!!!

For Tacardon... so what?!? Just another isolated case and even then hasn't achieved anything. It just shows your extreme bias towards these players and you're overrating them to no end!!

As for the rest of your stupid comments... so what?!? They're at a really young age where the physical and tactical side of the game hasn't fully hit them yet. Look at the U16's, U19's & U22's... they continue to get slaughtered internationally because at the end of the day, the players suck ass! A Euro camp here and there isn't gonna change that!!

Take off your tinted glasses... it'll do you some good!!

    2. You're the one who is a fucking bastard !!! You don't know shit! You just pretending to make many excuses because you hate us Filipinos? You should be granted Persona Non Grata by our republic the way you post hatred and bigotry to our homegrown Pinoy as if you are brainwashing us that we really have no chance to make it to the top? An asshole like you has a blindside and worms to your brain. LOL!!! Highlighting every statement shows a person who needs more attention that being openly minded to comments. Your first comment is about we Pinoys aren't any better than our SEA neigbors and we can't compete internationaly and we get slaughtered then you answer with Troy as as example as he is in the second team this and that. Those ain't answer you Retard , those are "making excuse" just to make a say on us Pinoys. On Tacardon, only isolated case? Fuck you!! I have know some players in highschool and now are going to the Italy and US as they were recruited by clubs and NCAA schools. You didn't even mention the original Little Azkals dude. Just shows you lack knowledge here in our country. Now tell me, if we really suck? Maybe you should suck your own dick it will do you good.

  7. Anonymous7 November 2018 at 16:02 Is that how you observed why we are underperforming? Tournaments and camps are two different thing but they can also merge as one when PFF manage to have more budget like spending two weeks before the tournament comes in that particular country. But a once a year exposure in international to one youth category is not enough to achieve success. It takes 2- 3 times per year with some players bieng trained in European clubs or Asian clubs to further enhance the level of our youth. If Palami finds big budget for our Azkals then why can't he spend big also on Youth Teams? Why can't he love the atleast the U16 and U18? Does Philippine Football only evolves on the senior teams? We blame the result of our youth but we are not looking to possibilities that when properly nurtured we can compete in Asia. Many people here are so full of negative comments of our youth which is not helping our young footballers today. All they can do is blame , blame , blame and nothing else instead of finding solutions and offering hopes to the low moral of our youths. Let us knock louder into the PFF ears until they will be awaken on their mistakes. The coaches are so quiet about the wrongdoings of the PFF which in other countries they criticize when their federation makes a wrong turn. Filipinos I believe are Sheeps. They are content of being a slave to the system of the federation. Np pne is standing to the right principle because they are afraid their coaching career will end when they criticize their masters.
