  1. Nice to see JP Voltes also joining the league. But given the question marks there doesn't seem to be much new news.

  2. Im not an Ilonggo but Stallions should really be Iloilo based. Na paboran si Nierras! lol.

Hes been the coach for sometime now and is close friends with Alquiros, the main financial backer. Hes also from Alabang/Muntinlupa area so Binan is pretty close. He doesnt have to relocate and he'll keep his coaching job. lol!

I remember a couple years ago I think it was, ahead of a pre-season IRC, dont remember if it was on Facebook or Twitter but he said that the club was going to set up or already had set some training center in Iloilo and thats where they aim to train and also develop talent. So much for that lol!!!

To top it all off, Araneta was harping on about how Iloilo would have a team when they announced that they were planning the national league. Again, so much for that! Lol!!

    1. I, Pag-Asa Football Club should have made an entry to this Pro League thing as they have the money to make it Iloilo based but I don't know why they were not interested to invest on it.

    1. Who said they were gonna keep "Kaya" as the name? They might but look at Global fc, papalit ng club name.

    2. Are you sure they want to replace Kaya name or are you just making an assumption just because Global made a hint to change name just to please the Cebuano fans? Ang galing mo naman manghula.

  7. Being the football capital and producing a number of top football players, there should be an Iloilo team in the upcoming Philippines Football League (PFL). I've been longing for any developments about an Ilonggo team in the PFL after the Stallion FC which originated from Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo have chosen Binan, Laguna as its home field as per its FB page. Here's a good news for Ilonggo football fans, the latest from PFF President Mariano Araneta who hails from Iloilo.

MANILA – Iloilo City’s Stallion Gilligan’s Football Club and JP Voltes Football Club have followed their former United Football League (UFL) rivals in moving to the newly-formed Philippines Football League (PFL).

Philippine Football Federation (PFF) president Mariano Araneta confirmed the move of Stallion and JP Voltes, saying the teams are deciding what city they will use as their homecourt.

“We are still negotiating for Stallion to use Iloilo as their home province. If they do, JP Voltes can use Biñan. If Stallion uses Biñan, probably they (Voltes) can use Iloilo,” Araneta said.
