Ceres-La Salle FC will battle upstart JP Voltes on June 18, Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. The Bacolod squad is coming off a 10-0 win against Forza FC midweek and are keen to continue the momentum against the Japan-Philippines club.
Both teams haven’t met in an official match since the infusion of new players in Voltes which includes former Ceres players Camelo Tacusalme, J Baguioro, and Lemuel Unabia. The trio are currently on loan in the JP squad and have contributed heavily to their good performance highlighted by the 0-0 draw against Stallion last week.
Ceres will gun for its fifth straight victory, gathering momentum as tougher games await towards the end of the first round. The Busmen are currently in second with 12 points, only leading Loyola on goal difference. The match with JP Voltes will kickoff at 4pm with the delayed telecast airing on Sunday June 19 at Aksyon TV.
