Defending champion Dynamic Builders FC and co-powerhouse club Ceres FC blanked separate opponents Sunday to post back-to-back victories in the ongoing 2nd Conference of the North Football League at the Ayala North Point pitch.
Patrick Martir opened Dynamic FC scoring in the early 5th minute, converting his first of the two goals earned in the match as teammate Camelo Tacusalme delivered a quick double 10 minutes later to give the builders a 2-nil lead over Trimaxi.
The champions had kept their offensive run as Ricardo Garcia sent Dynamic’s third in the 24th minute to close the break, 3-nil ahead.
In the second half, Trimaxi tried to send some threats but made some defensive lapses as Ian Treyes successfully went through the shield for a goal in the 47th minute.
Jaime Poderoso further widens Dynamic Builders’ advantage with back-to-back goals in the 54th and 56th minutes as Martir scored his second in the 62nd minute to seal the match, 7-nil.
Meanwhile, Ceres FC demolished Las Buenas FC, 11-nil, to share the top spot in the league.
Janrick Soriano led all Ceres’ scorers with three goals while three of his teammates shot double. Just after the first whistle, Arvin Villaruel stunned LBFC’s defense when he struck Ceres’ opening goal in the 1st minute, even as Archie Familiar nailed the second goal in the 10th minute.
Villaruel and Familiar scored their second in the 12th and 18th minutes, respectively, to push a 4-nil advantage in the early minutes of the game. Joshua Fegidero, on the other hand, gave Ceres a huge 5-nil lead at the break.
In the second half, Ceres further extended the advantage after Oliver Colina sent the ball at the back of the net in the 47th minute as Soriano got his first in the 49th and another 10 minutes later.
With 24 minutes left in the match, Fegidero scored his second in the 66th minute for the team’s 9th goal before LBFC’s Erwin Guitche scored an own goal in the 71st minute.
Soriano finally nailed his third in the 73rd minute and eventually sealed the match. Silver Dragon FC bounced back from a 7-1 upset against Ceres in the opener after sending Jakalz FC to its back-to-back setbacks, 3-1.
After a scoreless first half, Renz Guevarra scored his Silver Dragon’s first in the 44th minute as teammate Marty Castillon added another in the 52nd minute.
But Jakalz’s Melencio Mentor cut the lead and put the game closer after scoring a penalty kick in the 59th minute.
Yet the momentum wasn’t on Jakalz’s side as Richard Canedo gave Silver Dragon’s third goal in the 70th minute to post a 1-1 card./
