THAILAND TO CLASH WITH PHILIPPINES IN U-14 GIRLS FINAL

Vientiane: Thailand and the Philippines have set an appointment to clash in the final of the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship for the ASEAN zone following their semi-final wins over reigning champions Vietnam and Myanmar respectively on Saturday.

The tie will be a repeat of the 2014 final where the Thais downed the Filipinas 2-1 to claim their only title so far since the competition debuted in 2013.

Women's National Team to conduct try-outs

Tryouts will be conducted for the Women’s National Team in preparation for the AFF Women’s Championship 2016 to be held in Mandalay, Myanmar on 26 July – 4 August.

The activity will be conducted by the coaching staff headed by the Women’s National Team Coach Letecia Bautista. Venue will be in Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on the following dates and times:

June 14 (Tues.) 7:00 – 9:00
June 15 ( Wed.) 15:30 – 17:30

U16 Boys National Pool to undergo training camp in Los Banos

The 30 player national training pool of the U16 Boys Football Team is set for a training camp at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños, Laguna from 05 June – 07 July 2016.

Out of the 30 players, 18 will be selected to form the Philippines U16 National Team that will compete in the AFF U16 Championship in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 10-23 July.

The U16 Boys team will be mentored by head coach Jose Maria Aberasturi. The assistant coaches are Eliezer Fabroada and Anthony Albao. The National Training pool is the product of a nationwide voluntary try-out attended by players from around the county. 12 out of the 30 are former U14 Boys National Team players.
