Olivia McDaniel excited to play vs Long & Co. in PFF Women's League

 by LUISA MORALES

FILIPINAS 'keeper Olivia McDaniel looks forward to friendly competition with national teammates Hali Long and Inna Palacios when they eventually go against each other in the PFF Women’s League.

McDaniel and her sister Chandler will be suiting up for Stallion Laguna FC.

“Oh yeah. We always talk about it,” McDaniel said in jest during their media availability at the adidas Brand Center on Thursday.

“Kaya [FC], playing against Inna and Hali… [They’re] such a wonderful team and they’re so good so I’m excited for the challenge.” she added.

The sisters will be looking to make Stallion competitive after finishing the 2022 season dead last with a 0-1-6 win-draw-loss slate.

After playing much of their careers in the US, the California natives will look to familiarize themselves more with Philippines football while also looking to raise level of play in the tournament.

“I’m so excited that we can come back and play in the [PFF Women’s League] and just be able to play with our homegrown players and we just wanna grow it.” she said.

“Being able to do it with my sister is gonna be such a journey and an experience so I’m very excited to get going with that.”
