Another top of the table clash is set in the Philippines Football League as Ceres-Negros hosts Kaya-Iloilo for another league tiff on August 3 at the Aboitiz pitch in Lipa Batangas.
The match is set to be as explosive as the first meeting where the busmen came from behind in the second half to win by two goals to one last July 10 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona Cavite.
Jovin Bedic opened the scoring with a wonder goal against the run of play while Bienvenido Maranon scored two of his own aided by Stephan Schrocks ‘Man of the match performance to wrest the top spot from the Iloilo squad.
Both teams currently have 22 points in the standings with Ceres-Negros edging its rivals with a 13 goal difference with a win advantage on the tiebreak and a match at hand.
Since their last meeting, Kaya have went on to secure two victories after edging out Stallion Laguna 1-0 and blasting Mendiola with five unanswered goals. Ceres-Negros has continued its unbeaten run since against Philippine Air Force and Green Archers United.
