MANILA (26 July 2019) – Will football at the 30th edition of the SEA Games in the Philippines go artificial this year?
From the announcement this week of the Philippines SEA Games organisers, it is sure to go that way as the SEA Games celebrated their 60th year history by shifting from all natural grass to artificial pitch for all football events.
The SEA Games Organisers have announced this week that all matches for the football event – men and women – will be played at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila (main pix), Umak (University of Makati) Football Stadium in Makati (above), and Binan Football Stadium in Laguna (below).
All three venues use artificial pitch.
Football competition for the SEA Games has been slated for 25 November 2019 to 10 December 2019.
