Philippines Boys Under-16 To Participate In JENESYS 2017 U16 Tournament

The Philippine Boys Under-16 national team will participate in the JENESYS 2017 Japan-ASEAN U-16 Football Tournament which will be held from 8-12 March 2018 at the Miyazaki Prefectural Comprehensive Sports Park in Miyazaki, Japan.
The tournament is composed of ten ASEAN countries and domestic Japanese teams including the Japan Boys Under-15 National Team. The Philippines U16 team is in Group B with Indonesia and Cambodia.
The team is composed mostly of the players that participated in the AFC Under-16 Championship 2018 Qualifiers that was held in Yangon, Myanmar last September 2017.
The head coach is Roxy Dorlas assisted by Christian Salanguit, Christopher Pedimonte, Ralph Datoy, and Joshua Castelo.
“We wish the Philippine Boys Under-16 team the best of luck as they participate in the tournament,” said PFF general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes.

The Philippine Under-16 Team left for Japan today 5 March 2018 in preparation for the tournament.

  1. Another political picks from Aris Caslib pet boys - namely head coach Roxy Dorlas who had no longer experience as youth coach after he retired with the now defunct Loyola Meralco. Correct me if i am wrong but most players come from expensive private schools. I believe talent is more abundant and more impressive in public schools most especially in the provinces. That's why PFF continue to lag behind in international youth competitions due to the presence of guys like Caslib, Maro , Aberasturi , Gaatanes and among others who have no idea to improve philippine football but knows how to choose rich players.

  6. The youth teams of Philippines is a laughing stock of whole Asia. Their coaches are inexperienced and puppets of money.

    2. Look at where the majority of players coming from. Mostly from private schools and we all know many great players comea from public schools not private.
