AFC U19 Championship : Philippines 1-2 Laos

Meanwhile, in the group’s other game, hosts Laos beat the Philippines 2-1 and finished their qualifying campaign in third spot while the Filipinos were left rooted to the bottom of the group.
Thanin Phanthavong opened the scoring for Laos on five minutes before Javier Gayoso equalised after 19 minutes.

However, Laos midfielder Maitee struck three minutes before half-time to give Veunsavanh Sivisay’s side their only win in the qualifying campaign.
Ten group winners and five (to be confirmed in due course) best second-placed teams will qualify for the finals while hosts Bahrain received an automatic qualification (total 16 teams).

  1. The second youth team of PFF this year finishing again at the bottom.

maging thankful Javier Gayoso prefer playing for U19 Azkals kaysa sumali sa Youth Gilas national pool.

he has size advantage good for header and direct kick...malayo pa mararating ni Javier.

  2. Gayoso has some family issues with his dad kaya tigilan nyo na ang mga tanong kung bakit hindi sya nag basketball at football pinili nya. The kid really loves football,he's good with it and by the way he lives in Laguna.

    1. Gayoso Jr don't have family issues with his dad, in fact, he is fulfilling his dad's unfulfilled dream of becoming a professional football player
Gayoso Sr. Himself was a former football player in his younger days but, seeing there were no PH football league ( in 80s or 90s), support, or any opportunities to further his football passion he switched to basketball
PS Back in Gayoso Sr's time football was just a word in Philippines

    1. Javier Gayoso Jr truly has football talent and a future azkals potential
Being rich is just a bonus for him
In fact he auditioned in one Singaporean university tryouts to play in Singapore's college football this July
