After winning the United Football Cup title, Penson Stallion Giligan’s players dominated the competition’s top individual awards Monday night.
Stallion skipper Ruben Doctora won the Golden Ball award, the tournament’s equivalent to the Most Valuable Player award, while Wilson Muñoz bagged the Golden Glove trophy as the best goalkeeper in the competition.
Doctora and Muñoz were vital cogs in Stallion’s Cup title run this season, helping their team upset League titlist Global in the final.
Meanwhile, Loyola Meralco Sparks star striker Phil Younghusband hoisted the Golden Boot trophy after leading the tournament with 10 goals.
Younghusband, who also won the award in the League competition last season, helped the Sparks to a third place finish in the Cup.
