Parang flood control scam! Anton Del Rosario questions PH Football Federation's use of PSC funds
Former Philippine Azkals member Anton Del Rosario has raised concerns over the alleged misuse and lack of transparency in the handling of funds received by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
In a deleted social media post, Del Rosario questioned how the millions of pesos granted to the federation were being utilized, noting the absence of visible promotional efforts and reports of delayed fund approvals.
“The @phifootballfederation got millions from the @phil.sportscommission but where is the money being used??? No promotional material, delayed approvals of funds,” Del Rosario wrote.
The football veteran also mentioned hearing stories about funds being routed through shell companies, hinting at possible irregularities.
“Hearing stories of funds being coursed through shell companies. Not sure what to believe but looking more and more like a ‘Flood Control’ situation,” he said, referring to the controversial term often associated with alleged fund misuse.
Del Rosario ended his post by stressing that Philippine football athletes and fans deserve better support and accountability.
“Our girls and community deserve much better!!!” he added.
