SEAGULL-PORKY'S Lechon hacked out a 5-1 win over the Hooligan Football Club (FC) in the Davao FA Cup First Division Tournament at the Tionko football grounds over the weekend.
Ian Pongo led scoring for Seagull-Porky's with a hat-trick scoring in the 36th, 79th and 90th minutes. Jason Mortillero (14th) and Sylvestre Sarco (17th) added a goal each to back up Pongo.
Francisco Iligan knocked in Hooligan's only goal in the sixth minute.
KMMPC, meanwhile, blanked Columbia, 2-0, with goals courtesy of Stanley Ca¤ete (56th) and Andrew Moduokwu (87th).
The Medvil FC also shared the limelight by nipping Team Davao Region Athletic Association (Davraa), 3-2, in the main match of the meet organized by the Davao Football Association (DFA).
Davraa striker Francis Jay Abrasaldo hit a goal in the 25th but Medvil's Joey Aroba countered with back-to-back goals in the 31st and 37th to snatch a 2-1 lead.
Ian Sonza secured another goal in the 43rd for Medvil while Jomar Acedo scored a goal in the 75th for Davraa, which absorbed its second straight loss in the meet.
Matches will resume on Sunday at 3 p.m. with Hooligans set to face Medvil at field 1 while Seagull-Porky's Lechon goes up against KMMPC over at field 2. (MLSA)
