Philippines Football League (PFL) governing body Liga Futbol Inc. (LFI) will open disciplinary proceedings against Stallion Laguna FC for allowing spectators at the Binan Football Stadium during the match against JPV Marikina FC last 11 March 2018.
Despite the LFI’s repeated directive, stadium inspections, and advisory note to have the said match and possible subsequent matches be played behind closed doors for safety reasons, Stallion Laguna FC allowed spectators at their venue.
Stallion Laguna FC is yet to satisfy the Infrastructure Criteria under the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Club Licensing Regulations, inter alia by complying with the safety certification and stadium safety requirements for the newly constructed grandstand.
This directive was issued last season and continued to operate this season until such time Stallion Laguna FC is able to satisfy this requirement under Article 8.1 of the said Regulations.
The LFI will not compromise on safety requirements and the safety of spectators should therefore always come first.
What exactly is Article 8.1? Anybody here knows?
