MANILA -- Meralco Manila remain unbeaten in the PFL for the fourth match running, downing Davao Aguilas, 2-0 tonight at the Rizal Memorial.
The Sparks found the net in both halves to get maximum points and to go five points clear of Kaya FC Makati in the table.
Curt Dizon poked it in from close range in the 6th minute, and James Younghusband finished off the Aguilas with thunderous shot in the 70th minute.
"We're able to identify the details of the movement [of Dylan De Bruycker and Omar Khan]. They were able to execute their plan but in the end we have maturity on the midfield," an elated Aris Caslib quoted after the match.
In the other match, Ceres Negros got their first win of the season, dispatching Global Cebu in the first Visayas Clasico 1-0.
