Our homegrown and local boys, they need to catch up pa sa mga asean neighbors.
With due respect to Marlon Maro but Coaching duties should go to coaches who are hands on to the team. Problema kasi sa PFF they will assign national coaching duties to person who are still playing (like Anto Gonzales), Instructors (with the likes of Marlon Maro, Bro Mari, John Carmona and others) na hindi talaga coaching yung primary na trabaho.
Nakita mo ba ang first touch nila at positioning nila?
Mix it up with foreign based players. These players will have some success, until they retire and become coaches. These coaches can now teach younger players about winning, what it means to win, how to win, and how to remove obstacles. These players will then compete and be well equipped physically and mentally. Should they win important tournaments, great! Then they retire and become coaches, instructors, trainers etc. And this process can take years! Oh, and dont forget the PFF should also build training facilities and pitches and help local clubs expand and generate their own income and get people excited about football. YEARS IN THE MAKING!
Dude, that is exactly what I want to say I just don't know how to put it in words. What these visayans want to happen is a band aid solution. What they want is to give them a chance baka machamba. Losing is fast becoming ingrained in our culture now. Things have got to change. But we have to do it slowly. And the only way, is what you said above.
DeleteWhy are they using long balls? Because the back four are not strong with the ball. Forwards will only have to pressure them, blocking their vision and any passing angles what do you do? You just leg it on up the field. That is why they resort to it when a player is easily rattled. And our back four since the Singapore match is easily rattled. Do you notice how they press on the back? They fill up their half of the pitch like they are in possession? Or do you still not see it?
DeleteLet me spell it out for you - THEY LACK SKILLS. THEY ARE NOT AT PAR WITH SEA RIVALS!
Deletebakit may ethnic and racial isyu na agad.
Deleteit doesn't matter kung all NCR or all visayan selection ang composition ng NT.
hindi yan NCR tagalog vs Visayas,or Fil-foreigner vs local boys or native homegrowns.
kahit all NCR or Ilonggo selection ang national team at kahit 1 week lang training camp pag magaling ang coach kaya nyang gawin competitive ang NT...kahit limited ang resources and time of preparation.
pag puro local based or (almost) pure pinoy whatever...
ReplyDeleteits all started with the system, bias and halfbaked, its all about hype. all of the organizers behind this campaign is totally out of their mind, result?,its all fiasco, i dont know what is logic behind this campaign, are they sincere on evaluating and choosing their bets? it seems that one sided view about selection is brewing, green eyed monster on the otherhand is really prevalent in our regionalistic culture,if we continue to develop this attitude, then,we are not different with the problem of indonesian football, im totally saddened with the result, its totally crushing, well, seagames officials will erase football totally,we are totally exposed.idont know what is all the logic behind this.
Deletehindi agendas, politics, vested interest both from NSAs and POC./PSC.
it is possible that POC want to abolish PFF like what they did to corrupt leadership BAP.
kaso bigo ang POC and PSC...maybe Babalu want to install his allies na maging chairman or officials sa PFF.
fielding an all Euro based, fil-for or mix it with few homegrown talent/Philippine based is also a band solution.
kahit sabihin pang All NCR and red tape selection ang bumubou sa U23 azkals.
The home-grown boys gave their all but it was not enough to beat the other teams. Australian coach tried to improve their basic football skills by conducting back-to-basic drills. New players coming would have better first touch, passing, dribbling, tactical thinking and discipline, and making shots on goal. Filipino players are improving. In football, solid improvement is attained in years. No need to hurry. Coaching has improved and will further improve.
ReplyDeleteWhich part of football have improve in the country.
DeleteThe only thing that most of us can see is that the fil-foreign scouting talent going on @ a rampant scale.
Football development is put aside.
poor selection of players, poor management.poor skills, no solid plans, lack of sincerity when comes to selecting and evaluating football in general, filipinos get emotional when things get rough, politics at its best.
