Global Fc news
UFL Cup : Global Fc last UFL Cup match against Team Socceroo in group stage has finally been confirmed for 10 am on Nov 4
Singapore Cup : Global Fc is playing Third place match in Singapore Cup on Nov 7 against Balestier Khalsa
9 players from Global Fc is also in the line-up for Azkals friendly in Abu Dhabi on Nov 9 !
No news about date for PFF Smart National Club Championship qualifier between Cebu Queen City United and Global Fc, but the finals are scheduled from Nov 12 in Bacolod so they should be playing the qualifier soon !
All the teams who qualified in the PFF Samrt Club will boycott the tournament if Global will insist on playing.
ReplyDeleteCeres dropped their intention of hosting one of the second group stage because of this fiasco.
Dan Palami has been swallowed by Greed and insatiable appetite for power!!!
ReplyDeleteIf the PFF initially disqualified Leyte FA from participating in the PFF National Club Championship and then suddenly reversed its own decision why hasn’t the PFF made any justification regarding the reversal? There seems to be a concerted effort to conceal this from the public.. Why so? What is the PFF and Palami hiding from the public?
ReplyDeleteCeres should take the lead and should not only drop their bid to host the national finals but to boycott the rest of the tournament in protest of the politicking and gamesmanship of Palami making a mockery out of a national tournament. All the rest of the participants should follow. This is the only and certain way to stop Palami from abusing the system.
The PFF-Smart National Club Championship is managed by a Tournament Committee pursuant to the tournament rules. The Committee initially declared GLobal FC not eligible to be Leyte Football Association on the ground that Global FC is a "regular member" of NCR Football Assn. Leyte FA asked for a reconsideration insisting that Global FC is a regular member of Leyte FA. On review, Tournament Committee determined that Global FC is indeed a regular member of Leyte FA and just an "associate member" of NCR FA. So, it was allowed to represent Leyte FA. Committee decision was relayed to Leyte FA and PFF for implementation......It can be Global FC or any other club but the decision of Committee is based on rules and not persons.......
ReplyDeleteGot it. Ceres FC plays in UFL but is a regular member of NOFA. Cebu Queen City FC plays in UFL but is a regular member of Cebu FA. Global FC plays in UFL but is a regular member of Leyte FA. What is fuss all about when Global FC represents Leyte FA in the PFF-Smart club tournament?
ReplyDeleteAgree....coz in the PFF-Smart club championship Ceres Fc represents Negros Occidental FA while Cebu Queen City FC represents Cebu FA...... Too much is being given by haters to Palami......Heard Global FC's request for Amani Aguinaldo to play for Global FC in the tournament was flatly denied by Tournament Committee coz his birthdate was beyond cut-off date......
ReplyDeleteAnd who influenced the rules?
ReplyDeleteIf Global FC was indeed a regular member of Leyte FA why had it not put up grassroots team in Leyte instead of NCR and Luzon ?
ReplyDeleteCeres FC (NOFA), Cebu Queen City United (CFA), Laos (LFA), and Stallion FC (IFA) are the four teams in the UFL that are registered members of their provincial associations. Global on the other hand is an associate member of NCR. Global now claims they are also regular members of Leyte FA. Regardless of the classification of membership a club can only be a member of ONE provincial association. No club team can be registered in TWO or more provincial associations. If Global is allowed to be a member of 2 provincial associations does that mean then Global is the ONLY club in the Philippines that can qualify to represent TWO provincial football associations in a national tourney? Global won the first season of the PFF Smart National in 2011 representing the NCR. They were qualified to represent NCR because they were a registered associate member of the NCR.
ReplyDeleteIf the PFF reversed its decision because Global is a regular member of Leyte and only an associate member of NCR and disregards the rule that you may only be a member of 1 provincial association regardless of membership classification then so be it ------PFF should then just come up with a formal announcement on the reason behind the reversal to clear all speculations. I suspect there is hesitation in making such an announcement because of the membership rule wherein a club may only register with 1 provincial FA. This can be easily challenged.
"If Global FC was indeed a regular member of Leyte FA why had it not put up grassroots team in Leyte instead of NCR and Luzon?" -- i don't know from what planet are you to comment like this kung di mo naman alam. Last time i heard, may global FC clinic at may pinapunta pa na coach sa Leyte who stayed for a year to train kids sa clinic.
ReplyDeleteYou should know by now that rules and morality are irrelevant in official matters in PHI. Relevant POWER decides who wins and in football Palami can piss on whoever he wishes from a great height.
ReplyDelete"Last time i heard, may global FC clinic at may pinapunta pa na coach sa Leyte who stayed for a year to train kids sa clinic" - Ngayong taon lng yata nag start ang Global sa Leyte para ma justify nila na they are "truly" a member of Leyte FA. Very calculated ang steps ni Palami patungong diktador ng PFF..
ReplyDeletePerhaps the better question would be if Global is indeed a regular member of Leyte how come Leyte FA never had Global as their official representative to the PFF Smart National Club Championship only till now?
ReplyDeleteIn the past 2 seasons of the PFF Smart National Club Championship Leyte was represented by Laos and in the following season by Baybay FC. It doesn’t make sense to have these two clubs represent Leyte FA if all this time they had Global which obviously is a much more superior club.
There are two requirements that each provincial FA must undergo to qualify as representative :
ReplyDelete1. Must be a member of the local FA - which can easily be twisted by powerplay, like the comments above.
2. they have to undergo a local based qualifying tournament in Leyte and win the championship to be able to represent, in this case it was Baybay FC who won since Global never played in a local tournament, this is hard to invent since results should be supported by statistics, with the names of the other participating teams with each roster of players, referees officiating and toyrnament officials conducting the said tournament, this is much harder to reproduce as any of them can be interviewed if this tournament really existed. this is a must requirements and other teams have also been disqualified because of this rule, even if they were genuine members of their own local FA. GLOBAL should not be exempted from this ruling and must present the necessary proof, if they really went through a qualifier... before they could present these requirements, in my opinion no games should happen..
that's your problem. if Global FC was allowed to play, then malamang they passed both criteria. i don't thin PFF would agree to let them play arbitrarily just bec. owned ni Palami. give the PFF some credit.
Deleteso it means global fc didnt enter a qualifier? gusto nila nang shortcut? tapos sabi ni Anonymous4 November 2013 02:34, malamang they did not need to enter the qualifier because they could pass/beat any team in leyte?
Deletewhere in the post did it say Global FC did not join the qualifier? ang sabi nga malamang they passed both criteria at nakasali at pinayagan silang maglaro. basa basa din pag may time Anonymous 7:47.
DeletePalami owned the PFF now and PFF is Palami's puppet already.
ReplyDeleteWonder why some insist on giving Palami much credit and perceived power......maybe they are the fans of Palami?
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong with the reversal of PFF of its previous decision of disquualifying Global for as long as they can explain what qualifying tournament in Leyte did they join thatbthey became the offical representative for LFA, this is a must requirement by the Smart club that all teams must undergo with no exemption, so unless Global cannot publish one then their qualification is very much in doubt. even if they are the favorite to win the tournament it does not give them outright entry unless they go through a qualifying tournamnt. Rules are rules and must be follwed...:(
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, the fate of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF)-
ReplyDeleteSmart National Club Championship Group E match between CQCU
and Global FC is still undetermined.
“There is still no date or venue. It is a sensitive issue and there are
factors to consider,” said Ceniza. “We are ready to face them.
We have no problem facing them.”
CQCU was supposed to enter the next round after beating Hijos FC, 8-1,
last month but Global FC, who was earlier disqualified, won its appeal.
Sun Star Cebu
The October 16 decision rendered by the PFF Committee Chairman headed by Mr. Dick Emperado, President of Negros Oriental, officially stated that the tournament Committee has given full faith and credit to the LFA General Secretary’s Certification that Global FC is a Regular Member of LFA. The Tournament Committee also found the tournament report of LFA provincial elimination sufficient but the committee provided no other details. Notably the decision stated that “the match between Global FC and the representative club of Samar FA and the match between Global FC and the representative club of Cebu FA shall be held at the HOME VENUES OF SAMAR FA AND CEBU FA. It also stated that the PFF Tournament Commissioner was furnished a copy of the decision and were instructed to implement the decision immediately including the scheduling of the matches.
ReplyDeleteIt is common knowledge that the match between Global FC and Hijos FC (Samar) was not played as directed by the PFF Tournament Committee in Samar but in Leyte giving Global a huge advantage over a very inexperienced club. Providing no other details on the Tournament Report submitted by the General Secretary of LFA does little to quell concerns that an actual Leyte provincial elimination tournament was conducted to determine Leyte’s representative. It makes one wonder if the PFF Tournament Committee even verified the report submitted by LFA or took the report hook, line and sinker.
The issue on the eligibility of Global refuses to die down because of the lack of transparency. On the other hand sources from the province of Leyte who requested to remain anonymous swear that no provincial elimination round was ever conducted in Leyte. A source even narrated that he casually asked a few players about the said tournament and they too could not provide any detail even the name and approximate date of the tournament. A sensitive issue indeed.
Based on some account of the Hijos FC players, the game was played in Tacloban City as most of their players were already in the City competing in the collegiate meet. they said that they only had to travel a few other players to complete the squad. so i guess it was not a deliberate and blatant disregard of the memo rather a mutual agreement by both clubs. i don't see any controversy there. as to the manner of conducting the provincial eliminations, if the PFF already accepted the official report, then most probably they verified it. and to be fair, may mga FA din who just submitted reports but were not verified. by the PFF, our FA included. so why single out?
DeleteWhen does PFF will go in a straight and transparent manner?
ReplyDeleteBrilliantly explained Anon 5 Nov 06:48. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOf course corruption happens in every country but the in-your-face blatancy with which it happened in this instance is breathtaking.
