Already, 192 teams have initially registered in the 2-day football festival in Talisay City dubbed as "Mayor Doc Eric Pasidungog 7-Aside Visayas Football Festival" on February 9 to 10, 2013 at two separate venues, the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College and Talisay City Football fields.
However, it is expected that more teams will participate as the tournament nears, according to tournament commissioner Warren Concepcion who is also head of the city’s sports office.
He said, this football festival will be part of the 15th charter Day Celebration of Talisay City in Negros Occidental.
With such number of teams, hundreds of participants will come playing for the teams in different categories.
Concepcion also expects participants from Iloilo, Negros Oriental and Cebu and host province, just like last year. The categories to be contested are 8-under for boys and girls or mixed; boys’ 12-under and 18 under; men 35 up and ladies open on February 9.
On February 10 five more categories will be contested like the 10 under boys and girls or mixed; boys’ 14 under; boys’ 16 under; girls 12 under and men’s open.
Concepcion disclosed that assembly time and registration on each date will start exactly at 7 to 8 am respectively.
Opening ceremony will be held at Talisay City Football field on February 9, with City Mayor Dr. Eric Saratan doing the ceremonial kick. A surprise guest is also expected to grace the said football tournament, Concepcion added.*

Warren Concepcion- formerly a NOFA man but now creating his own football dynasty in Talisay City, Negros Occ. Its because NOFA wasn't functioning anymore, it can be called -'missing in action' for a couple of years now. Yanson of Ceres FC should be the favorite to take over the place of Charlie Cojuanco as the president of NOFA but the problem is the current president is not having any election for many years now while Football program is stagnant in the whole province. Luckily for negrenses the Yanson bros, resurrected its football power in the Men's category while the grassroots was rescued by PFF Kasibulan program last year.
