Being brave is one thing, while having a brain another!!
They enter these types of competition as if nothing has been learned from past mistakes! They had what, no longer than 10-14 days training for this, nowhere near sufficient! The BFAP didn't even stage a local competition to find potential players. Now, look at some of the players who got called up..... Roel & Ronel Gener, Nestorio Margarse, Wilson dela Cruz, Edmundo Mercado.... really?!? Useless!! Should've saved the time, money and energy by not entering!
If you still think that's "brave", then you've got a false sense pride (just as many Filipinos do) and it's pathetic! This is not the same route that some great athletes (whoever you're thinking of) took to achieve glory. They still had the foundations and took the proper steps to achieve what they achieved like proper investment (both money and time) and sufficient training!!
It has to do with grassroots program and the palakasan system of the organization in charge for beach soccer team! Malaking pagkakaiba ang beach soccer. Those players sent were not used to beach sand. The result were lopsided loses, nakakahiya po. We are the laughing stock in that tournament. Record breaking loss 20-0 by Iran and 11-1 by China. Nandoon pa naman ako sa stand.
At least you understand the real situation unlike @Anonymous 24 January 2013 02:01 who has a false sense of pride with this being "brave" BS! Yes, sobrang nakakahiya!!
All these armed force players should retire. Even in UFL they are destroying the league by behaving like thugs. Palakasan talaga sa PFF at sympre mga kababayan nika yan kaya hindi na penelize mga yan for misconduct.
Embarrassing as hell! Why even bother with a bunch of has-been players trying to play beach soccer?!
ReplyDeleteThat aside, it seems no matter the form of football; on a pitch, futsal court or on sand, and at any level, Philippines suck. sigh
At least they have the guts to fight even their competitors are the best in Asia or i may say the world .
ReplyDeleteEmbarrassing for you ... bravery for us !!!
Did you ever think that all great athletes achieve their glory without loosing...
