Adam Thomas Chicksen (born 27 September 1991) is an English footballer who plays for Milton Keynes Dons. Chicksen was adopted from the Philippines as a toddler.
He joined the Milton Keynes Dons Dons academy as a 14-year-old in July 2006 and was handed a two-year scholarship at the start of the 2008–09 season. He is the first, and apart from Mark Randall, only player born in Milton Keynes to play for the Dons. He attended St Paul's Catholic School.
He debuted for MK Dons first team in pre-season match against Reading in July 2007. His first league match was against Leicester City on 9 August 2008.[2]

Probably can't play for the NT. if he's legaly adopted from here meaning his parents are not Filipino so therefore he's not eligible to play.
ReplyDeleteDOH!
DeleteFilipino blood. Biological parents are filipino. Doesnt matter if he is adopted.
Hmnnn...Not good looking enough. Next!
ReplyDeleteLocally based players naman tingnan natin. Slowdown muna tayo sa pagrecruit.
ReplyDeleteAdam Thomas Chicksen will become a good player!

As usual foreign base again.
ReplyDeleteIf that the case please close down our local league and tournament.
We can use the money to employ scouts only to look for foreign born eligible citizen to play for us.
Sooner or later all the players representing would not know how to sing our national anthem also.
Seriously though, Filipino cannot play shit. Might as well recruit foreign based as we, Singapore! And other NTs in SEvare beefing up with foreign based players and naturalized. Keep dreaming on with your pathetic "what about our own" mentality coz your neighbors are taking off while your NTwil regress. I guess more goals for us then. I guess Thanks. Lol.
DeleteJust you wait. 5 to 10 years. 5 to 10 years, okay?
Delete5 to 10 years for what?!? A Philippine team full of homegrown players?!? If so then LOL!! That's way too early for anything domestically to bear fruit that would be deemed good enough for the senior national team!
Deleteright, other SEA teams beefing up with naturalized players/foreigners as well....look at Singapore....they were one of the first one's which naturalized players (Casmir , Duric, Bennett, Wilkinson etc...) -they just have the advantage that they play in their home league. Or take Timor Leste....why do you think they played well in AFF qualifiers and almost made to the finals? For sure not because they have home grown talents or their league is so strong....they scout their players with East Timor roots in Brazil and Portugal.....so dream on....the only problem with our NT is that all the tournaments are non FIFA sanctioned match days so our best players are not allowed to come (or if they come our FA has to bow on it's knees and beg)....if they would be alltogether we had a quite good team....and remember: a couple of years ago we even did not win any match and now we can at least compete at least with the best in SEA and some other good teams in Asia (except from the very big ones)
Deleteokay then, 10-15 years...how about that? see what happens: 10 to 15 years from now!
Deleteif that don't work, you can bet something will happen...15 to 20 years from now.
YES, 15 to 20 years from now. We got this thing, just you wait, 15 to 20 years from now!!!
okay, how about 20 to 25 years from now? Aha! just you wait, okay? 20 to 25 years from now!
im singaporean and i love singapore, but if you use our NT as one of your parameters for successful football program then you guys are buggered. if you want standards that you can aim for look at japan and the koreans. your team have a lot of good looking players though and we love it here in singapore everytime you guys come and play.
DeleteSingaporean here also, and I cannot disagree more than my countryman at 11:13. I mean we don't even really watch our league games because they are just not on par with the best. I mean the real best. we prefer the EPL over our league. Really though, football requires patience and if you like glory right from the get go you probably have to look for another sport...
DeleteI think Pilipino football will plateau because that's how these pug-noses like it. they only like to talk about how they are going to do shit and have grand ideas about how to run shit. They have the knack to pull progress down when they are not given importance. Ironically though, with all that grand ideas flooding their brains, they still come up short and been sore losers for the longest time... Now they have revived football in their country, ONLY IN THE LAST YEARS (may I remind you all), and now they are expecting to rule SEA??? Are you kidding me. You Pinoys must be crazies or something. You can't run if you don't know how to walk yet. These people, I read their comments, and they are bitter with each other after a loss. lol. They talk bad about the people who, through my research, turn out to be the very same people who brought football back to life... And now these sore losers are more knowing that those people responsible for the revival of football??? Where were you when you losers were even more losers??? So many experts... hhahhahaha. You all probably wouldn't even be talking about football if you your team hasn't achieved a great feat already. You people are pathetic. If you want to grow and build your football, you all must educate yourselves also as fans... Be happy that you guys reached the semis and build on that. Stop all the false expertise as if you know a whole lot of real football. ONLY YEARS AGO you guys been nationally exposed to football in a great deal. so don't kid yourselves in talking about how it should be done because you all know shit. You fans have never handled anything of National level, and so as your NT management and they are learning as they go. you should all be proud of your progress instead of bashing here and there for no good reason. You sacked your old coach and brought in a new one, did you really expect continuity??? Be patient... Who knows maybe in the next two years you'll finally beat us in a game that matter not not just friendlies. :D
DeleteSingaporeanos: that's light, you guys leally have to lally behind youl team.
DeleteFilipinos: d'oh say what?
interpreter: that's right, you guys really have to rally behind your team.
Filipino: ahh.. roger that.
Singaporeanos: dang stlaight, logel that.
Hahahaha!! Looks like you've been duped!! Most likely some random person edited his Wiki page to say that he was adopted from the Philippines.
ReplyDeleteHow can he be born in England and all of a sudden adopted from the Philippines?!? The only way for that to happen is his biological parents had him when they were in England and went to the Philippines when he was a toddler and gave him up and he became an orphan in the Philippines. Then some random couple with surname Chicksen decides to adopt him and coincidentally moved to England, the country of his birth!? That's just too weird!! Is this more usapangfootball BS?!
Although to be fair, his MK Dons profile pic makes him look a bit Filipino and there could still be an outside chance he really is one. But at the same time, him looking like one would be like saying Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks Filipino but he obviously isn't!

What's the requirement to be on the NT? I'm 3/4 Guatemalan and 1/4 Filipino, can I still play for the PH team? I mean my parents weren't born in PH so would I be eligible?
ReplyDeleteIf your grandmother or grandfather was filipino you are eligble to play for Philippines
