UNO-R Balangaw FC Continues Winning Streak in Gov’s Cup Football

UNO-R Balangaw escaped Football Club of Bacolod (FCB), 4-3 Sunday to continue their winning streak in the ongoing 2nd Visayas Football League Governor Alfredo G. Marañon Jr. 2012 Men’s Open Football League held at Panaad Park and Sports Stadium Football Field in Barangay Mansilingan.
This is in follow up of their win over Magallon United, 18-0 last September 1 and against Bat-us Football Club, 9-1 last September 15.
FCB showed to dominate the match after Noah Sajo scored in the 12th minute, but Archie Nemenzo countered in the 28th and Paul Poderoso added in the 50th and 86th before John Ancheta sealed the victory for UNO-R Balangaw.
James Bocalbo joined Sajo to score twice in the 74th and 87th minutes.
Bacolod United FC defeated Real Negrense, 8-1 to follow up its win over Sagay FC in a close match, 7-6 last September 8.
Jalsor Soriano scored in the 10th for Bacolod United FC followed by teammatesMelo Aguilar in the 20th and 22nd minutes; Jimuel Ariola in the 31st; Carlo Lucero, 42nd; Rodennis Palomo, 64th and 73rd; and Carlo Taculsame sealed the game at 77th minute.
Rodney Cornel was the only goal scorer for Real Negrense in the 49th minute.
In the other game, La Carlota City FC survived Kabankalan City FC, 2-1 with Early Bird Matillano and Roel Bacaoco scored in the 65th and 68th minutes after Kabankalan striker Kenny Ulpiana hit in the 6th minute of play.
In the main game, Bat-us FC beat Magallon United, 7-2. Collin Montaño and Mark Anthony Baldava led Bat-us scorers with two each in the 19th and 24th for Montaño and Baldava in 50th and 53rd minutes. Their teammates Johnrey Millan, Joseph Ben Serrito and Aljun Gumugda contributed in the 38th, 43rd and 70th minutes respectively.
Eljohn Tinsay scored two goals for Magallon United.
The weekend’sfootball match is organized by Negros Football League headed by Mr. Junie Lizares with match commissioner Warren Concepcion which started August 18 and will end in February 2013.*
