Comments :
25 players are two players too many.
Jason de Jong missing is he not going to Nepal ?
Jerry Lucena unlikely to go to Nepal
Not confirmed by AFC
Once again this "official" website is publishing BS. Although, obviously most of that squad is already part of the final squad.
ReplyDeleteHowever, teams are only allowed to register a maximum of 20 outfield players. That "official" list has 21. Plus, Schrock and Cagara aren't even confirmed yet.
Yes, you are right about 20 outfield players. The website been added Roland Müller and Jerry Lucena now (!) A total of 25 players.
DeletePFF may have Schröck and Cagara in the final squad and then they eventually not show up in Nepal , it`s not first time PFF do that.
Good luck AZKALS.... we BELIEVE your ability and we are so proud of you...always remember TEAMWORK is the key to success..Whoever the PHXI against N.Korea ( March 9,2012 ) its a big responsibility that you carry inside your heart.. always be prepared and trust your talent and skills....Bring us the AFC Challenge Cup 2012...thanks ( OFW - SAUDI )
ReplyDeleteRef Cuaresma supposed to fly to Nepal today. Read that his flight was cancelled, dont know if it was the management or due other issues.
ReplyDeleteThis website been adding Lucena and Müller to the squad... 25 now, two players too many
ReplyDeletethis lineup has no consistency. every tournament has different one.
ReplyDeleteJason de Jong is not part of the above list and as far as I know he is already there in Nepal training with the team. I don't think that list is the final list since of the 23 allowed players, 3 of them have to be goalkeepers as well. I think there will be more changes.
ReplyDeleteThis squad list got now Müller , Etheridge and Sacapano so its 3 GK`s now. Dont think it is final line-up anyway with Jason de Jong missing and two players too many in the squad
ReplyDeletejonny,
ReplyDeletegoalnepal has quoted your list from your website as the final list of the Azkals team. You might want to inform them that this is not so.
They got it from me who got it from the "official" website :) I expect goalnepal read my blog daily...
DeleteMargarse and Dorlas could easily be deleted...important is that many as possible euro based professionals are able to join the team to have at least a chance to give our opponents a tough fight . i don't think we have a chance to advance to the semi finals....but just in case this would happen it would be much more welcome of course :-)....but we have to be realistic.....
ReplyDeleteDorlas is with the team in Nepal. So you think he would get excluded from the list? And Cuaresma was supposed to fly out today, but if Muller is going, then maybe thats the reason for why his flight was cancelled?
ReplyDeleteian araneta, roel gener and bahadoran still on the lineup. the 3 maybe good at the UFL but not too good at the international level. they may have been solid before but think real, beloya, doctora and barbaso may have strengthened the lineup better.
