Next home friendly for Azkals will be on 29. February in Rizal Memorial.
The opponent is not confirmed , but previous reports were saying that Malaysia could be the opponent.
29. February is a FIFA international match date, but many Asian teams will be playing World Cup qualifiers and will not be available for a friendly in Manila.
Other possible opponents than Malaysia could be :
- Vietnam
- Myanmar
- Hong Kong
- Bangladesh
Also possible to invite teams from AFC Challenge Cup 2012 group A : Maldives , Turkmenistan or Palestine
This will be the final friendly before the team leave for Nepal for AFC Challenge Cup
Good to hear this! One step at a time, with patience and perseverance, we will get there.
ReplyDeleteIndonesia - para makabawi. If not, Malaysia coz they are the current AFF Suzuki Cup and Sea games champions.
ReplyDeleteWhy do so many believe that playing a stronger team improves the weaker one? A football game is far too dynamic for any player to notice, never mind learn from, any smart moves from the opposition.
ReplyDeleteInstead of looking forward to being humbled again the (new?) coach should take the squad away for a week in a darkened room with a large screen TV. Videos are available of every televised quality game. By intelligent use of the pause and rewind buttons the coach can convey every important play - dumb as well as clever - far easier and clearer than shouting from a training pitch sideline.

"coach should take the squad away for a week in a darkened room with a large screen TV".
ReplyDeleteThat is a subtle way of doing a psychological torture... might work...
pasalamat sila nasa Pilipinas sila and not Iraq ,China , Russia baka hindi lang torture ang abutin nila.
joke lang ha ... no harm intended. In fairness they are trying their best to "jump" forward to promote football, Philippine is making a Noise, may it be positive or negative, still it is reaching the World.
Who's this sad soul addicted to repeating every post he disagrees with then delivering his sermon from the mount? Jonny is kind enough to allow opinions of every shade to be expressed here, but that's opinions about FOOTBALL, not childish personal insults by supranationalistic racists.
