During the match against Swansea on Saturday 10 December, Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer injured his neck.
Following an assessment by a specialist consultant on Tuesday evening, the Club can confirm that he has sustained a compression injury to his thoracic spine and that he will be unavailable for 4 to 6 weeks, and is expected to return to play towards the end of January.
The Club has exercised a clause in the loan contract of David Stockdale, and he has been recalled from Ipswich Town to join the squad.

Fulham 2-1 Odense 67'
ReplyDeleteFulham 2-2 Odense FT
ReplyDelete2-2 and Fulham crashing out of Europa League with a Odense last minute goal
ReplyDeleteyal see how the blogs n forums look during and after the game? outrageous, atrocious, absolute chaos! it's evil when fulham fans judge their team.
ReplyDeleteThat was a massive loss and a big heattbreaker for the young lads specially Etheridge. All that was begun in June seems for nothing. Etheridge is fortunate to have this experience and memory in his heart. Just unlucky. If they play him for Bolton this Saturday it would be a significant reconing point for him. Today was for taste if the big league, his "cherry" remains unpopped. Great effort though.
ReplyDeleteseems like fulham fans have been losing patience for a while. cant really blame them. the team lacked energy on the second half. theres also that drama between zamora and jol. good experience for neil though. but i think stockdale is their first choice anyway.
