MEN’S League defending champion Crazy Horse held on to the no. 1 spot after extending its winning streak to six in yesterday's 13th Aboitiz Football Cup at the Aboitiz Sportsfield in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Crazy Horse routed DBUFC, 6-1, for its six win in as many matches, giving the team a total of 18 points so far.
While Crazy Horse has yet to drop a match, DBUFC struggled with just two wins, a draw and two losses.
The other match saw University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) annihilating DB Magone FC, 11-0.
USPF extended its winning streak to four while DB Magone FC dropped to the cellar with five losses in as many games.
Only two matches were played yesterday after organizers decided to cancel all morning matches as main roads in Cebu City were closed for the holding of the Cebu Marathon 2011.
No matches were scheduled for next weekend either in observance of the procession for the feast of the Sto. Niño on Saturday and the grand Mardi Gras on Sunday.
Organizers are mulling holding games on Monday Jan. 17 but nothing has been confirmed yet.
