The tournament comes on the heels of the National Women's Selections Football Tournament that drew to a close yesterday at the Panad pitch of the Panaad Sports and Recreational Park in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City with 13 teams competing, 6 each in both the Under 19 and Under 14 divisions.
The teams in the U19 division were: Manila, Davao, Iloilo, Negros Oriental Football Association (Norfa), Negros Occidental "A" O Hotel, and Negros Occidental "B" Danjugan Sanctuary.
Meanwhile, tne U14 squads were: Manila, Iloilo, Davao, Negros Oriental, Iloilo and host Negros Occidental/All Asian Countertrade.
The April 24-28 event here was meant to select members of the national women's U19 and U14 squads that will represent the country in two international events this year-the U14 national squad which will compete this June in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) organized Festival of Football. The U19 squad will see action in the AFC Asian Qualifying event which will still be set in a specific venue in November. (HCV)
