NEGRENSE football enthusiasts are expected to troop to the Panaad Stadium Monday to witness third day hostilities in the ongoing five-day National Women’s Selections Tournament.
The said event will be hosted by the Executive Village Football Club, headed by businessman Junie Lizares in cooperation with the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) represented in this five-day event by general secretary Cyril Dofitas and RP U14 head coach Josephine Loren, among others.
In last Saturday’s opening matches, Iloilo nipped Davao, 1-0, with the winning goal coming in the 90th minute of the U19 match.
Host Negros Occidental, mentored by Coach Jose Reymando Baldava, bowed to Manila, with scores of 0-0 in the first half, 1-0 in the second half and 2-0 in the third half in a U14 clash.
Meanwhile, last Saturday’s final match saw Negros Occidental Team A post a 4-0 victory over Negros Occidental B in another U19 encounter.
Monday’s four-game schedule pits Negros Occidental versus Davao (U14) at 8:00 a.m.; NORFA (Dumaguete) versus Negros Occidental B at 2:00 p.m. (U19); at 4:00 p.m. Negros Occidental versus Iloilo (U14); and the day’s final match at 6:00 p.m. is between Negros Occidental A and Manila in another U19 encounter.
