JB MABUSLANG had an excellent performance to lead Emar Learning Center in winning the high school boys title of the Globe Araw ng Dabaw 2010 Football Festival held at the Tionko grounds over the weekend.
Emar edged Davao City National High School, 1-0, via a shootout in their finals match. The latter placed second while Panabo finished third.
Mabuslang romped away with the most valuable player (MVP) honors to receive a brand new mobile phone from Globe Telecom.
Ellen Cuizon also got a new phone having been named MVP of the ladies open event where her team, D' Davao Survirors (DDS) blanked the Philippine Women's College (PWC) Pink, 4-0, in the titular clash.
PWC finished runner-up while the Lady Knights placed third in the meet organized by the Davao Football Association in cooperation with the University of the Philippines (UP) Mindanao.
The Davao Region Athletic Association (Davraa) Durians, meanwhile, bagged the first division men's title by nipping Central Mindanao University (CMU), 2-1. CMU and Medvil took the next two spots.
Davraa striker Jomar Acedo was named MVP to claim P500 worth of Globe load along with second division men's MVP Junmar Superioridad of Real Marbel FC (RMFC) of Koronadal.
RMFC beat Team Digos, 2-1, for the crown. Digos settled for second place while Rajawali team of the Indonesia Consulate came third.
