IT WAS a day for the University of St. La Salle – Integrated School following a triumph over the Don Bosco Technical Institute-A over the weekend of the Nopsscea U-10 football competition.
Miguel Lacson and Rafael Tolosa nailed two goals during the penalty after a no-score 30-minute regulation period and 10-minute extension time.
It was somehow a disappointment for the DBTI-A after leading the elimination with a clean 5-0 record and even outshadowed the young stingers 3-1.
“It was our day maybe after DBTI failed to nail a single score despite of many attempts close to our goal,” USLS-IS coach Ramon Janeo said.
USLS reached the finals after defeating University of Negros Occidental-Recolletos-A (3-2), UNO-R-B (3-0), DBTI-B (1-0) and St. John’s Institute (3-0).
Janeo said that it was the IS parents and its sports office continuing support that pushed them to their victory. (Jerome S. Galunan)
